Your first visit

We carry out your boiler safety check and electrical suitability inspection during the same appointment.

This confirms the installation is safe and prevents pre-existing faults being included.

After acceptance

What Electrical Cover does NOT include

Electrical Cover protects against unexpected electrical faults, but like all protection plans it cannot cover problems that already existed before joining.

Typical exclusions:

  • Faults identified during the initial inspection

  • Damage caused by misuse, alterations or DIY work

  • Appliances and plug-in equipment

  • Lighting upgrades or cosmetic replacements

  • External electrics, outbuildings or garden wiring

  • Rewiring or system upgrades due to age

  • Commercial or non-domestic use

Does Electrical Cover include all electrics in the home?

No — the plan covers fixed electrical installations within the property.

It does not cover appliances, plug-in equipment, or wiring buried inside walls where access requires building work.

Is Electrical Cover available on its own?

No — Electrical Cover is an add-on available with Silver plans and above.
It works alongside your heating cover so one local team handles everything.

What electrical problems are covered?

Typical covered faults include:

  • Tripping circuits

  • Loss of power to sockets or lighting

  • Fuse board (consumer unit) faults

  • Faulty switches or fixed wiring

  • Electrical safety faults

What is not covered?

The plan does not cover:

  • Appliances and plug-in devices

Is there a call-out charge?

No — there is no call-out fee for covered faults.
You contact us and we arrange a visit.

Do you need to inspect the home before cover starts?

During your boiler safety & suitability visit we also check visible electrical components to ensure the system is safe and maintainable before activation.

What if an electrical fault damages walls or ceilings?

We repair the electrical fault itself.
Decorating or building repairs are not included.

Does it cover electrics outside the home?

No — cover applies only to internal fixed wiring within the main property.

Does this include appliance faults?

No — the plan covers the home’s fixed electrical installation only (wiring, sockets, switches and consumer unit). Appliances such as ovens, boilers, cookers and plug-in equipment are not included.
